We are proud to share the successful development and realization of the largest hot-dip galvanizing plant in Canada in cooperation with Galv-Éco inc., a project that truly shows “where sustainability becomes green!”
With the first dip successfully completed in the spring of 2026, this project is not just a milestone in terms of scale but it is a true turning point for sustainable engineering in our sector.
This plant was designed with a clear objective: zero compromises between top-tier industrial performance and environmental protection. The entire facility is designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible, drastically minimizing its footprint through pioneering technological solutions.
In numbers:
- Zinc kettle: 18.00 · 2.20 · H3.80 meters (the largest currently operating in the country)
- Green Core: a cutting-edge thermal department powered by renewable resources (biomass), paired with a large 2.5MW Full Electric Furnace
- Automation & Safety: a fully automated facility guaranteeing maximum operator safety and seamless process optimization. Material handling is driven by a highly advanced system of automatic distribution cranes (12.5 + 12.5 / 12.5 + 12.5 tons)
This plant is concrete proof that technological innovation can lead the ecological transition, even within heavy industry. Driven by the skill and dedication of everyone at Galv-Éco inc., and supported by the advanced formulation of Soprin srl chemical products, the first galvanized batches are already showing a premium final quality that won’t disappoint end users.
